About Us
Welcome to BaseHQ Studios, a commercial recording and rehearsal studio offering a exceptional service at competitive rates.
BaseHQ was set up by Gavin Lee, member of platinum selling Dubstar's early incarnation 'The Joans' with his partner.
No matter how big or small we give each and every project the same attention and care as we do with our own material. Conveniently based beside Newcastle Central Station/A1 motorway, with our own free private parking, the fully equipped, acoustically designed studios are open to everyone.
We understand that all our customers needs are different so there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach. We offer a variety of rates and services to allow you to tailor the costs to meet your project expectations and budget. From a basic recording to a fully produced album, composition to voice over we can help. When you come to BaseHQ you can expect your project to be treated with respect and dedication until its completion.
We appreciate that you are busy so you can be as involved as you choose, as we offer unattended production rates freeing you up to do whatever else you need to do that day or you can spend your time in the studio working closely with one of our professional engineers/producers.
We understand how hard it can be to choose which studio to use, with such a variety of service and rates available here’s a few questions you might like to ask whilst making your decision.
Tips for choosing a recording studio:
- 1 - Do you feel comfortable with the person/people who will be working on your project?
- 2 - Do they have past projects you can listen to?
- 3 - Can they offer testimonials from previous clients?
- 4 - Go and look at the facilities.
- 5 - If there’s a price difference it’s normally there for a reason. For example is it a professionally built studio or a converted home space? Is it a full time professional business? Check the spec, expertise, convenience and after-sales service on offer.
- 6 - Ask as many questions as you like, after all It’s your project.
Since welcoming John Paul Denton aboard a month ago the studio has expanded its range of services now offering a comprehensive library portfolio available to anyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on some custom made music for your website, advert or movie.
